Error
We had an incident reported where the backups failed for no reason and with various errors.
On further examination, we could see the program files were being deleted during each backup.
The same would happen after the BOBcloud software was re-installed.
The folders affected are:
C:\Program Files\serverbackup (desktop OS)
C:\Program Files\desktopbackup (server OS)
Cause
The device had a security application installed which incorrectly marked the BOBcloud \ Ahsay files as dangerous and deleted them.
Once we excluded these from the security software, the backup worked again.
We recommend all security and antivirus software is configured to exclude scanning of these folders:
C:\Program Files\serverbackup (desktop OS)
C:\Program Files\desktopbackup (server OS)
