Finishing a v7 migration

Migrating the backup software and backed-up data to v7

  1. Stop all backups and restores and close down the backup software on your device.

  2. Download the server or desktop v7 software from the B23 cluster at https://b23.data-stor.net/cbs/system/ShowDownload.do
    If you have a rebrand, contact us first.

  3. Install the downloaded software over the top of your existing installation.

  4. Open the software.

  5. You will be prompted to enter the encryption password for each backup set.

  6. Resubmit a backup. This time you will see the data is being migrated before backing up

  1. After the backups(s) have finished without displaying any errors, try some historical restores.
    If the data restores correctly, the migration is complete.
