The upload speed will depend on how fast your upload speed is and how much your data can be compressed.
The type of data will also be a consideration.
e.g. If you are backing up a million files, these will have a lot more overhead than backing up one large file twice the size. The overhead will comprise of handshaking, compression and encryption.
To obtain a rough estimate of how long the online backup will take, we recommend you use a local USB disk and a local backup.
This should complete relatively quickly and will confirm how much your source data can be compressed down to.
A basic calculation of your bandwidth and the size of the local backup will give you an estimate of how long the online backup will take.
