How to set the retention settings

I have a lot of data in the retention area. How can I remove please

The amount of data in this area and how long it is retained for is set in the Retention Policy in the software on your device or in the Reseller portal.

Local Server installation

The retention area consists of files you have deleted from your device, and your previous full backups that have been replaced by recent full backup(s).

Daily changes on your data and files since the last full backup are not stored in the retention area. These are necessary to recover your last full backup and cannot be purged within the existing live backup.

General rules

Example 1: If your retention policy setting is set to seven days and you delete a file from your server, this file will be purged from our system on the eighth day.

Example 2: Your retention policy setting is set to seven days and you backup the same file every day on your server. After 100 backups, another full backup will run, and the previous full backup with all its incremental delta files will be moved into the retention area. Seven days later, that full backup in the retention area will be purged.

To resolve your issue, please change the retention settings to a smaller period and resubmit the backup. If the problem persists, contact support directly.
