Location of the logs for the Ahsay backup software
All config files are stored locally on each device that runs a backup.
The config folder contains the backup and restore logs, configs, and other ancillary files.
Please zip and send us the entire folder, not just the log folder.
How to send us the logs
If the folder is larger than 10MB, share the folder with Dropbox, OneDrive or a similar service to support@bobcloud.net
https://wetransfer.com/ is a free service allowing you to send files up to 2GB.
Tell us you have shared the files so we can assign them to your open ticket.
Windows
These folders are used depending on which version of our software you are using:
BOBcloud logs
Server
C:\Users\username\ .obm
Desktop
C:\Users\username\ .acb
Windows logs
The Windows logs (application and system) from the event viewer.
macOS
The folder we require is hidden from standard users.
The command below (without the quotes) will unhide files and directories so that you can access the data using the terminal application.
“ls -a”
These folders are used depending on which version of our software you are using:
Server
/users/username/.obm
Desktop
/users/username/.acb
The macOS app is located in /Application/desktopbackup.app/
This can be accessed using Finder, and then Show Package Contents.
Linux (Server and Desktop)
~/.obm
Example:
/root/.obm
Synology NAS
Enable SSH on the NAS and use the terminal or https://putty.org/
Log location - /volume_id/@appstore/serverbackup/.obm/log/${backupset_id}/Backup
QNAP NAS
${system_volume_path}/homes/admin/.obm/log/${backupset_id}/Backup
